The copper sieve tray facilitates the distilling process as it substitutes the need for using straw or vine twigs which can leave the distillate with a burnt taste, avoiding direct heat contact with the mash or must inside the pot. It is placed inside the pot at the very bottom and is a distillers best friend when it comes to these types of distillations.
