Traditional Alquitars

The Copper Alquitar still is the oldest design that was first used for distillation of alcohol as well as essential oils. Many still prefer to use this type of equipment that although slower with the actual process, the results come out more refined and of higher grade. It takes up considerable less space with the condenser recipient being incorporated on top of the alembic, as opposed to the side and is very popular for making rosewater, perfumes and medicinal extracts.
