Riveted Union Alembic

This beautiful riveted copper alembic still design is based on the old Moorish traditions and is still very commonly found throughout Spain and Northern Portugal, used widely for making “Aguardente” a very popular spirit here in Portugal. The Portuguese take the empty grape skins from making home made wine during wine season and form a mash that is then distilled to make this traditional beverage that surpasses time.
